Conscious irritation is an essential part of the Calle Hackenberg’s work. When the food and still life photographer shoots in his own studio, he likes to capture and interpret the unique aesthetic of each object and present it in a new unseen way. That can be in form of an unusual perspective or by taking a strongly idealized approach. The visual language of his commissioned work is characterized by reduction, clarity and minimalist lines.
His personal projects on the other hand often show a humorous, lighthearted approach. The passionate cook loves working with organic objects. Recently he proved himself to be an expert when it comes to shooting cheese. That earned him his nickname “Käse Calle” (cheese Calle).
